Commemorative events 2015

In 2015 the educational project was addressed only to the students in eighth grade of the III E class of “Dante Alighieri” school in Olgiate Olona.

Delegated by the mayor Giovanni Montano, Alberto Colombo represented the town of Olgiate Olona on April 14, 2015 in Romagnano Sesia at the funeral of Paolo Pettinaroli (1944-2015), President of Comitato 8 ottobre per non dimenticare committee and Fondazione 8 ottobre foundation.

In June 2015, Alberto Colombo - collaborator of the Municipality of Olgiate Olona for the commemorative events of June 26, 1959 - issued for the first time words in poetry about the genesis and the meaning of the commemorative events.

Commemoration of 56th anniversary of the plane crash

The Commemoration of June 26, 2015, held in the town hall of Olgiate Olona, was attended by some relatives of the seventy immortal lives coming from Italy, Switzerland and United States of America (they read some passages of the prayer), the delegation of Comitato 8 ottobre committee, the authors of the five deserving works (awarded with merit certificate, they all read their works, the best one received a book-coupon sponsored by Ottica Caldiroli of Olgiate Olona); a video tribute was paied to Paolo Pettinaroli, founder and president of Comitato 8 ottobre committee and Fondazione 8 ottobre foundation who recently passed away.

In September 2015, the tombstone made of white Carrara marble posed on Maria Fermi Sacchetti’s grave in the cemetery of Olgiate Olona was restored: the work of restoration – financed by a benefactor of Olgiate Olona - was carried out by Enrico&Carlo Lualdi of Busto Arsizio, the same firm which manufactured the tombstone in 2009.

Delegated by the mayor Giovanni Montano, Alberto Colombo represented the town of Olgiate Olona on October 8, 2015, in Milan at the commemoration of the victims of Milan-Linate air disaster.
